Our mission is to motivate and empower the tropical forest communities in the fight against deforestation and the protection of biodiversity through the implementation of economic conservation models.

Together we develop and market products and services that make sense for the conservation of the  forests and the people who take care of them.

About us

Tropical forests continue to be extensively converted into plantations or livestock pastures under the guise of economic development.

For centuries, local communities have played a pivotal role in managing millions of hectares of rainforest. In recent decades, numerous strategies have been proposed for forest conservation; however, most have prioritized strict preservation. Despite these efforts, deforestation persists, and the social and economic conditions of these communities remain largely unchanged.

Communities that have implemented sustainable forest management practices have demonstrated the most effective approach to forest conservation. Nevertheless, the market fails to adequately recognize the environmental and social value they contribute to society.

The challenge
The proposal

The Communities Forest Pact initiative aims to support communities and forest operators  in the implementation of sustainable forest management models to ensure the preservation of these ecosystems, while improving livelihoods of the population through product and services that guarantee a fair return for their environmental performance.

Forest Pact acts as a platform that supports the development and access to these products and services for those who wish to contribute to their environmental performance.
